Boxing-I still have two or three years left, says Pacquiao

Comment:

I don't think he has anything left if he lose to Rios in their upcoming fight. Win convincingly and we'll closer to a Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight.

Get knocked out again and we are closer to "PACQUIAO for PRESIDENT".

Pacquiao - I still have two or three years left

Eight-weight world champion Manny Pacquiao believes he has two or three years of fighting left before he quits the sport and still retains the hope of securing a bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Two straight defeats, the second a brutal sixth round knockout by old foe Juan Manuel Marquez in December, prompted pundits and fans to suggest retirement for the 34-year-old Filipino.
But he will step back in the ring after an extended break on Nov. 24 to take on American Brandon Rios for a first fight in Macau, keen to re-establish himself as the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the sport.

Pacquiao to spar vs 5 different boxers

Manny “The Pacman” Pacquiao put on his sparring gear and took his first US sparring session, as he prepares for his December 8th matchup against Juan Manuel Marquez.

“Feels good. I think I'm 70-80% conditioned. We have five, five and a half weeks. We have enough time,” Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao spent Tuesday sparring six rounds with long time sparring partner Ray Beltran and Russian Ruslan Provodnikov, who began sparring with the Filipino earlier this year.

Top Rank's chief Bob Arum was at the Wild Card Gym, watching the sparring session.

“Well it's the first day so you can't expect him to be on the first day the way he's going to be at the end of the sparring,” said Arum.

Last week, Pacquiao had begun sparring sessions while training in General Santos.

Freddie Roach had previously offered $1,000 to anyone who could knock Manny Pacquiao down or out in sparring.

This time, Roach is taking a different approach. Instead, he is offering Pacquiao $1,000 if he can knock any of his sparring partners down.

Pacquiao arrived in Los Angeles yesterday morning (Saturday evening in LA) for the final phase of his preparations for his Dec. 8 showdown with Juan Manuel Marquez.
